When we originally booked the condo, the owner required that we pay the entire reservation amount up front. We were originally leery, but the price was so good we just figured, "what can we lose...we're coming" so we paid even though it was over 6 months in advance.

Well, it was unbelievable. The condo is beautifully appointed. It has a roof top hot tub, and it's right on the Plaza, at the ski lift and we could ski right to the door, take off our skis, leave our equipment in the private, heated ski-lockers, and head up to the hot tub. The lockers were large enough for all 10 of us to keep our skis, snowboards and boots. We've stayed in Telluride lots of times, but this condo and it's location were like a gift.

We got more skiing done in 1 day than we do in a week in Vail. No lines. Great snow. And the perfect location. Our kids (ages 7, 9 and 13) came and went without need for adult supervision, including the 5 year old that was our friends'.)

The kids left at night to go to the pizza place by themselves, and my husband and I, together with another couple couldn't believe how great it was. We could leave the kids, head into town for dinner (we recommend Excelsior Cafe and Allreds restaurant) and the kids would call and say they were home and it was the best.

We've already booked again for this Christmas week and again in March. We love Telluride and we loved the condo.

We stayed at this condo with 2 other couples for my husband's 30th birthday and had an amazing time! This condo is so cool- it has 3 floors and is literally right in Mountain Village. We walked to restaurants and bars and the best part is the free gondola that goes into town. We used that as our only mode of transportation the whole time. The guys went mountain biking and didn't need to drive anywhere. The girls went hiking right out the door, no need for a car ever. We cooked a big birthday dinner in the condo and had everything we needed right there. We would totally rent this condo again when we return to Telluride.

16 February 2013

My wife and I were lucky enough to find this 3 bedroom townhouse in Telluride Village on VRBO.com. Our two adult sons and their significant others joined us for our best snow riding vacation in the last 15 years. We have stayed at many ski-in, ski-out properties in the western US and Canada. This place was the best. Two ski lockers on the ground floor large enough to hold two pairs of skis and poles and four snowboards, and an underground parking space. Living room, dining room, kitchen, and large bedroom and bath on the first floor. Sitting room, large bedroom with whirlpool tub, steam shower and bath on the second floor. Another bedroom with queen size bed and couch on the third floor. The window in this bedroom has the best view of the mountains. It was very convenient to sit on cushioned benches by the ski lockers, put on our boots, grab our gear and walk 20 yards across the brick plaza to the trail near Meadow lift. Lift 4 (Village Express) and the gondola station is a short walk through the village. The listing accurately described the location. The listing photos did not do it justice. It deserves a video to really see its features. It was clean and well-maintained. The owner and concierge were very responsive answering my email and phone calls before the trip and during the vacation. I would recommend this property to anyone who does not want the same week as we do. (We are coordinating our calendars for next season's vacation.) While there are wonderful restaurants in Telluride Village and the town of Telluride, be sure to make a reservation for La Marmotte restaurant. An exceptional meal was enjoyed by all. The WiFi broadband Internet connection was very important to us and the network handled our combination of iPads, iPhones, and Mac laptops. There was a television in every bedroom and the living room, but it was only used to watch the Super Bowl when we arrived.

We stayed at the same place last year and liked it so much we stayed here again. Knowing the location and layout made for an even better trip. See RJ review from 2012. The owner makes it easy to reserve the property and his welcoming person handles any questions before and during trip. We feel very comfortable knowing that everything will be ready when we arrive. Clean, we'll maintained, so close the the trails and lifts. It is now like our home away from home in Telluride.

The condo was fantastic. Fabulous location, super layout and well equipped. Ideal for two families but comfortable for our family consisting of two children and a friend. Lots of storage for belongings. Our host was gracious and accommodating and we felt that had we needed anything (which we didn't) we would have been immediately taken care of... we had great views of the mountains and we enjoyed the rooftop hot tub. We have stayed six times at telluride and this location was the best. I would definitely return and recommend it to anyone.

22 May 2014

We rented this condo during the last week of the ski season. It has it's own, private ski lockers for ease of use and ski-in, ski-out access which is exactly what we had expected.

The condo is like a townhouse, ie, it's on 3 levels with each level having it's own bedroom and bath plus a half bath on the main level. It was perfect for our two families. The location next to the plaza, the ease of access to ski-in and ski-out and the ski school was only 1 min by walking, which was perfect for our 8 and 10 year old girls who knew exactly where to go after their first day.

It was ideal for coming home for lunch and we felt secure leaving the children while my husband and I, together with the other couple could go into town for a night together without all the kids. We recommend this condo for anyone with kids. Great place and reasonable price.

We rented this condo for 3 nights and it had everything we needed. It was a quiet time of the year being the second week of September. We enjoyed hiking, biking, riding the gondola, and visiting restaurants in Telluride. The condo is in a great location and it is a beautiful area.

9 January 2016

The Good-the location is awesome. Walking distance to the free gondola, chair lift, restaurants, bars and ski rentals. This condo is in a building that houses only 7 units. It's surprisingly quiet with the close proximity of businesses nearby. It slept 6 adults comfortably and has 3 and 1/2 baths. And it includes convenient underground parking.

The Bad- The TV in the living room did not work and in the midst of college football playoffs, this was not received well, The tv had to be replaced two days later. The gas grill was not hooked up until the day before we left due to some excuse about poor stucco work. The hot tub that we REALLY looked forward to using after a hard day on the slopes, was "out of service". We were very disappointed about this and one of the main reasons we rented this particular condo. We were promised the part for the hot tub would be obtained by Wednesday and functional on Thursday. It was not.

It was nice to have a washer and dryer, however, the dryer was stacked on top of the washer and you had to use a step ladder to see the buttons for operation. The dryer is also not vented outside so a lot of lint collects in the house.

In general, this place needs a lot of TLC. The furniture is tired and the decor is outdated. The carpet is soiled, buckles up and is torn in areas. The master sink did not drain.

We like to cook most of our meals and the pots and pans were old and food stuck to all of it. There were NO hotpads in the kitchen so we had to use bathroom towels to remove food from the oven. There was only one dish towel, yes just one, and no paper towels as back up. It was a sunlit condo during the day but very poor lighting throughout this unit at night. Two of the master bedroom lamps were broken upon our arrival and one of those got replaced. The humidifier, box fan, and two coffee pots were also broken upon our arrival. I left those out with a note on them when we left. The location is great, but the owner really needs to invest some time and money into updating this place and keeping it functional. Even though we had to identify the above problems, the owner did not offer any monetary compensation to us. We would not stay here again1

We only had one night at Blue Mesa but it was great. The space is awesome and location great. None of us (group of gals) had ever stayed in Mountain Village so were afraid that we'd be far from friends and places in town, but the gondola was at our fingertips. For skiing it was perfect not just because of the ski in & out, but for gear rental. Everything was one stop shop then onto the lift. Lift ticket offer was super helpful on our wallets. Anything else we needed in the unit was there and it was more space than we needed. Will definitely consider bringing the family next time. Wish we could have stayed longer.

We had never been to Telluride and were very happy with the proximity to the mountain. The condo itself was comfortably decorated with almost everything you would need for a week long stay.

Skiiing is an expensive hobby so including the two adult ski passes was a huge plus for us.

The house had a brand new 4K TV which my kids loved and tons of room for them to have their space or spend together. Lots of blankets to keep us warm as well.

The coffee machine was tricky to work but once I voiced my concerns to Neal, the owner, the very next day a new coffee machine showed up1

17 January 2017

Our family spent a week skiing at Telluride and thoroughly enjoyed this condo. The ski in/ski out access in addition to the condo's proximity to the free gondola between Telluride and Mountain Village was perfect for all family members whether they chose to be on the mountain all day or enjoy a few hours in town. We were thrilled to have a ski locker indoors! The condo was spacious and clean and the owners prompt in assisting us with our questions. The natural light and mountain views in this unit were beautiful when the weather cleared enough to see, and we plan on heading back to Telluride over the summer to stay here again! Thank you!

First, underground garage, big plus..no snow to carry bags through....stairs, yes, however every place I've been to has SNOWY stairs, so this was so NOT a deal breaker. Location, unbelievably amazing. Right next to one of the Gondola's. Sit outside the deck out of one of bedrms, and gaga at view. Condo is massive. Walk into keyless entry, to beautiful slate tile HEATED floors. Kitchen equipped from loads dishes, glasse, coffeecups, coffee machine, loafs pots and pans, all appliances, gas beautiful stove. You are really home. 3 or 4 levels, different bedrms, all tastefully decorated all with flat screen TV's. Each has own bathrooms, loft as 2 beds in there, great views....very clean. Extremely comfortable king size beds, did not want to get up. All towels, extra anything is in various closets. Just check it out. Clean, quiet, gas firplace, games, books, nice touch in living room. Everything you need to enjoy a home away from home in a fabulous ski mountain. Absolutely would come back and totally want to stay here. Would recommend this to anyone who wants to feel spoiled and have fun.

We stayed here for 5 days and really enjoyed the condo. The living room hosts a new smart TV with Hulu, Netflix etc connected to the house wifi. A gas fireplace with auto light is built into the center wall which is nice to cozy up to after a long day on the slopes. Large master on the second floor with soaking tub and stand up shower along with killer views to inspect every morning before heading out for the day. Additional large bedroom on the top floor with even better views! There is also a separate "guest room/master" with lock out on the main floor. The entire unit was fully stocked for our visit, plenty of towels, soap, paper towels, etc. The kitchen also contained plenty of glassware, silverware, plates, pots/pans. We only cooked breakfast each day but it was more than sufficient. Overall we had an incredible time and love the ski in/out location and proximity to the Mountain Village restaurants and bars. The keyless entry makes it nice for anyone in the group to enter exit the condo with ease. There were also TWO ski passes included which is a steal in itself! The pictures in the ad pretty much sum up the entire condo. We will be back!

12 February 2017

The location was perfect no need for a car at all, we did a shuttle to and from Montrose airport once we were at the Condo everything we wanted was accessible, close to Village Center, the Gondola's, and the Village Express chair lift. This was our first visit to Telluride and we were not sure what to expect, we could not have been more pleased! Every question we had, the owner was quick to answer. The property was very nice and plenty big enough for our group of 6 we could have had more! Hopefully we can book for the same week next year!

28 February 2017

Unit was not found quite as advertised. It needed better upkeep. No midweek maid service. Several light bulbs/lights were burned out or not working. Kitchen counter top was not made out of countertop material. It looked like it was made out of the same rough surfaced floor tile that was present, impossible to clean, it could be a health hazard. Second floor bath had only a towel rack for one towel, other one was broken. There were bottles provided of bath gell/shampoo/

conditioner in each shower/bath tub, but more than one were empty or missing. At least one hand soap bottle was nearly empty. Second floor bedroom need a second nightstand light and another floor or ceiling light near chest. Loft area on second floor was counted as a bedroom, but there was no chest for storing clothes, only a closet. Second floor carpet was torn and stained when we arrived. It was fixed during our stay, which was inconvient. That carpet was in need of replacement. Third floor fold out couch was not useable, several springs to hold mattress in place were missing. No facial tissues were provided, we bought 5 boxes of our own. Had to ask for wash clothes, and there were no hand towels provided, only bath towells. Lock on sliding door off of living room was broken and would not lock and seal, as such it leaked some outside air. Most of the window blinds needed pull and tilt systems repaired or replaced, as they did not function as designed. Living room furniture was too large for the space. No instructions for any of the TV/Cable System as to channel numbers. Only found one humidifier, there should be one per floor. Contact with owner was made and he did respond to some of the issues(soap and wash clothes mostly). I requested a price adjustment, but did not received a positive response. I thought the extra $500 for the President Day Week was not warranted under the circumstances and the condition in which the unit was found. We were 5 senior men who required a bed each. Be careful if you need more than 5 beds. Our stay was 2/18 - 2/25/2017. On the other hand the location was nearly ski in ski out, ony a two to three minute trip to lift, and the skiing was very good on the mountain. Most of the better dining, however, was a 25 minute trip by a free gondola into town.

14 March 2017

Pros: Location, location, location --> Very easy walk to ski school. Ski lockers - easy in and out. MEDALLIONS: Total bonus, especially if you want to have a short ski day or skip a day altogether. Garage parking - warm and close (clearance is 6'8"). Pet friendly. RokuTV/Cable TV. Wireless network always worked.

I read the reviews before our stay and was giving the owner the benefit of the doubt, however we were disappointed in the shape of the unit. The owner was easy to work with when we were in contact with them. I would suggest that they check in on the unit more frequently; be sure the cleaning company is deeper cleaning, and maybe even a maintenance helper would be useful.

Cons: Very run down: The cleaning company was there when we arrived, however the unit didn't smell fresh, nothing looked clean. The furniture is very old in the living space. Obviously old, outdated. The walls look dirty. The silverware drawers are dirty. We moved the sofa to make more room in the living space and there was a lot of dust and dirt underneath. The soap dispensers have built up dust on them even. The washer and dryer are stacked; the dryer vent isn't connected and the wall is covered in dryer dust. There is a step stool to use in order to operate the dryer, however being short I had to use one of the bar stools. There are minimal spoons, we ran out all of the time for 6 of us. A lot of extra things taking up space; 3 coffee pots. One that we used and then one that looked dirty in the cabinet and one in a closet on the tile floor. Just seemed junky. The sofa bed in the top floor bedroom is a mess! We couldn't even open it yet the frame is completely exposed under the cushions...appears non-operational. There was a portable bed in the closet that we were able to use. Portable fans in every closet, however they are filthy. We had only one hand towel. Could not find hot pads in the kitchen or dish cloths. It needs a lot of TLC. Its in such a great spot though! So sad that we were disappointed!!! Overall it doesn't seem as though pride is taken in the ownership of this unit

We stayed here and loved the location! It is ideal in Mntn Village; close to everything. We however had no toilet paper when we arrived and had to go buy some. Also, the kitchen has plenty of dishes and pots and pans and glasses, but very little utensils for cooking and eating. It also had no pot holders and only one kitchen towel. They did provide shampoo and conditioner, as well as laundry and dish washing detergent. The master bath tub did not work well at all, hardly any water would come out. The place could just really use a fresh coat of paint. It was well furnished, just needed an update. Contacted the owner who was nice but couldn't help us as he had a lot going on. NO A/C in unit, so if you are staying in the summer fans are a must. Two worked and two were broken.

13 August 2017

3 bedrooms with full baths on 3 different levels plus loft makes this an ideal spot for a multigenerational family as each family has its own privacy but then comes together in the living area. Plenty of closet space, full washer and dryer, full sized frig and large gas stove make the living easy. Location cannot be beat: walk to the gondola to go into Telluride proper, plenty of fun things for younger children right in Mountain Village and lots of good hiking right out the door.

This comfortable unit does have a few flaws -- dishwasher didn't drain so we resorted to washing by hand which was okay. Toaster didn't work properly but we found another in a cabinet which did work. The outdoor grill was unusable because it had not been cleaned for quite a while (responsibility of tenants according to sign) and it would be nice to have coffee filters, more paper towels. But these are small irritants. We had a great time and enjoyed our stay immensely.

14 August 2017

Great stay in the village.

The location cannot be beat! Neil, the owner, is great to work with and everyone had a great view and great time. The place was huge for 4 people and no one bumped into anyone else. Although we did not have much time to watch TV, the ROKU tv worked great. We loved our time there.

15 March 2018

The location of the this condo was perfect for us. Steps to the slope on top of chondola lift 1 or walk 50 ft more to cross small bridge to lift 4.

Walk to shops and restaurants in mountain village, yet a little bit away from all the noise. The keyless entry was perfect not having to worry about keys for everyone. Underground garage was nice, but be aware there is no elevator! Car is not necessary but was more economical and time efficient than the shuttle. Didn’t use the car all week only used the gondola or walk to everywhere including dinners in Telluride. (221 Oak was delicious) The condo itself was clean with soap, shampoo and kitchen soaps included. The living room space is a little tight if you have a large group. Be careful of the tile stairs and tile floor is uneven, I just wore my sneakers so didn’t stub my toes, especially the tile in the kitchen.

If you are expecting high end ultimate luxury with plush furnishings, not it. Look past the little imperfections and it is the best bang for your buck, can’t beat the price with the 2 ski medallions making it worth it! When we come back to Telluride we will stay here again

Our family of 4 enjoyed the location of this condo. You are with in an easy walk to everything in the village. It is quiet with balconies to enjoy the views from both sides. The gondola into Telluride is a 2 minute walk away. The condo is well appointed with all the necessities - comfortable and well maintained. It is 3 levels with a bedroom on each level. If you cannot do stairs, I would not recommend this condo. The steam shower was great after a long day of hiking. There is a big table to enjoy meals together or play cards. Each bedroom has it's own bathroom as well as a central bathroom on the main level. The beds were comfortable. We love Telluride in the summer and this was a great place to stay for our family to enjoy all Mountain Village and Telluride has to offer.

I feel the price for this condo is a great deal.

Neal was very helpful in arranging our stay. This would be ideal for a ski stay as well!

Thank you for a great stay and for sharing your home with us!

30 June 2018

What a beautiful vacation we just had! Telluride and Mountain Village are everything we hoped it would be. This rental was great for our family and extended family. Neil was very accommodating and helped us find parking last minute when we were in a pinch. Also, his art gallery in Telluride is wonderful. Be sure to check it out.

We loved that this house had multiple levels, bedrooms, and bathrooms. It made it great for multi-families. The location is right in Mountain Village! Walking distance to the gondola and several stores, restaurants, hikes, etc. You could park your car and not touch it again for the remainder of your stay. The views from the balconies are breathtaking. Beds were comfortable and Wifi worked great!

Things to keep in mind if you are staying here with a larger group: There is only one parking space in the parking garage. There is day parking by the market/gondola that if free during the day and $25 at night. Supplies are limited. We ran out of toilet paper, dish towels, dishwashing packets so just keep that in mind if you want to bring extras. There is also a market close by, so it wasn't a big issue. The kitchen is well stocked for the most part, but silverware is limited, there and are not hot pads or cookie sheets. Bring your own if you need them.

I would recommend this condo to anyone. It was a wonderful stay and exceeded our expectations. Thank you for allowing us to stay here and have some much-needed family time.

30 August 2018

The property was very easy to find and a good location for connecting to everything. We enjoyed our stay but hope the owners read this and fix a few things for others. The pub below made it difficult to have the windows open at night for sleeping. The Kitchen had a minimum of kitchen tools - spatula's and large spoons for serving were no where to be found. Also, don't plan on many spices if you are a cook. You will need to bring your own. The screen for the patio was difficult to open and there was no screen for the master bedroom patio. Finally, the place needs a serious paint job. All this said, it was beautiful and fit our needs well. Loved the pizza place nearby.

17 September 2018

We stayed in the condo in August 2018 and we were in Telluride for a wedding. The condo was in a good location - walking distance to shops, restaurants and gondola. The condo did have a lot of room. Each bedroom was a good size. Living room/kitchen area was a good size. I'm not sure what made the kitchen "gourmet" except the gas stove. It had enough plates, glasses and silverware but needed basics such as hot pads, serving bowls & utensils, mixer, etc. The living room needed more light. Hard to sit and read with the amount of lights in the room. The furniture was well worn. Condo needed a coat of paint. Very pretty but odd tile on floors and counters - very, very, very uneven throughout the condo. Half bath door stuck on the tile and was very hard to open/close. Not all spa products are in all bathrooms so bring your own backups or be prepared to buy - No soap in 1/2 bath. No body wash in 1st floor bath. No shampoo or body wash in 2nd floor master bath. Very little dish washing soap and laundry detergent. I called Neil to report the lack of products. He said the rule was to have all half full and said he would contact housekeeping or come fill himself. Neither happened. You get the roll of toilet paper on the holder and one extra then you need to go to the market and buy more if you need it. The washer/dryer and dishwasher did work well. The shared roof top hot tub was not filled with water so we did not use it. There is only one parking space allotted to the condo in a covered underground parking area, so if there are more cars they need to be parked in a public parking area at about $25 per day. We were there for a wedding, so we had family from across the country with 3 cars total. The building and condo does have a lot of steps. Steps to get up to the condo. There is one bedroom (one bed) on first floor, but then up one flight to the second floor bedroom (one bed, my husband and I slept her and bed was comfortable) and loft, and up one more flight to the 3rd bedroom (one bed plus twin bed(s)). In summary, it was OK. Certainly not a luxury condo, just basic.

Again very outdated with 10 plus year old paint, carpet, worst tile job I have ever seen in the family room, kitchen, bathrooms. The interior is dark with extreamly poor lighting and the paint is touched up with 5-7 different colors. Kitchen is small outdated and difficult to use. The one good thing is the location is well suited to sking and restaurants.

We just left Blue Meza #5 and all had a good experience. It was a great location, and the two Gold ski passes were a huge bonus. The condo was well prepared for us—plenty of dishes, silverware, towels, bedding, paper goods, etc. Plus the owner, Neal, was very responsive. We had twelve of us stay together there and we were all positive on it. The reason we didn’t give it 5 stars is because the hot tub in the complex didn’t work, and we had to be creative with the pots and pans when cooking for a large group.

Brought my family to stay and couldn’t have been more satisfied.

The condo is perfectly laid out and the location close to gondola and lifts is perfect. There are 4 restaurants on the plaza it sits on so you really don’t need to go anywhere to have a great meal. Recommend this cond for certain

First time to Telluride after several visits to Denver based resorts (Vail, Breckenridge, etc.) and had a week of great skiing. This rental unit is situated perfectly within the town of Mountain Village, which is a beautiful European style village midway up the mountain. It is just a few steps to the slopes as well as the free gondola into town. This is also where the ski school is located, so it made the morning drop-off for my kids very easy. Equipment rental options (we used Christys sports) also very conveniently located near unit.

The condo is quite spacious, with plenty of bedroom and bathroom space for larger groups, or kids who don't want to be on top of one another. Kitchen and washer dryer a big plus. It is clean, comfortable, and well maintained. A few very minor downsides, loose floor tile here and there, routine wear and tear on furniture, and rooftop hot tub out of order (apparently for some time). The ski medallions also add significant value to this rental as lift tickets are not cheap.

The one potential major downside is the altitude. Mountain Village is located halfway up the mountain (as compared to the town of Telluride which is located at the base of the mountain) so you may be more likely to feel the effects of altitude sickness. It took me 24 hours to adjust and I could definitely feel the difference compared to the lower altitude in the town of Telluride.

Overall this a great quality rental in a great resort and would not hesitate to rent again.
